National Native Network Welcomes Kelsey Evans from SEARHC

The National Native Network welcomes Kelsey Evans from the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium.  Kelsey will be the Network’s lead contact in our Alaska region.

Kelsey Evans was born and raised in Southeast Alaska with a strong background in subsistence living with a focus on tradition and community.  She completed her Associates of Science in Allied Health at Ilisagvik College, Alaska’s only tribal college, where she was the first to complete this program solely via distance delivery.  Kelsey and her family love gardening, kayaking, fishing, and taking in the beauty and bounty that Southeast Alaska has to offer.

She has worked for SEARHC for over 8 years, 3 of those years as a Health Educator.  In this role she has helped in many prevention programs including diabetes, cardiovascular, tobacco outreach and education, and men’s and women’s health.  She looks forward to bringing her education, work knowledge and well-rounded Rural Alaskan experience to the National Native Network.
