New CDC Feature Article Highlights Military Appreciation Month and Quit-Smoking Resources for Service Members

May is Military Appreciation Month, a chance to thank all troops past and present, along with their spouses and family members, for their sacrifices to keep our country safe.  A new CDC feature article recognizes and celebrates service members featured in the Tips From Former Smokers (Tips) campaign.  CDC is grateful to each of them for their willingness to share their story to help others quit tobacco for good.  Many service members start using tobacco products after they enter military service.  The article helps service members be mission ready by sharing resources like CDC’s Guide for Quitting Smoking and information about TRICARE, which provides services, tobacco cessation products, and quitting support for active duty or retired service members.
