In 2021, over 9% of U.S. middle and high school students used tobacco products, with e-cigarettes being most common. The CDC's National Youth Tobacco Survey reveals higher usage among LGBTQ+ students and those experiencing psychological distress. While two-thirds of youth users consider quitting, flavored products and marketing continue driving initiation.
