Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board Funding Opportunity

The Great Plains Tribal Chairmen's Health Board is accepting applications for funding through its Good Health and Wellness program. American Cancer Society Tobacco-Free Generation Campus Initiative

The American Cancer Society's Tobacco-Free Generation Campus Initiative grants up to $20,000 to colleges nationwide implementing 100% smoke- and tobacco-free policies. With over one million college students projected to die from smoking, this initiative addresses critical prevention needs. Applications due August 15, 2018.

COMMUNITY PREVENTIVE SERVICES TASK FORCE RECOMMENDS EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES

The Community Preventive Services Task Force strongly recommends center-based early childhood education programs, citing robust evidence of long-term health improvements and educational gains. When targeting low-income and minority communities, these programs effectively reduce achievement gaps, improve health outcomes, and advance health equity by preparing children for school success.
