Cancer in Rural Communities: A GW Cancer Center Community of Practice

The GW Cancer Center Technical Assistance Program (TAP) invites you to join a new Community of Practice (CoP) to enhance your knowledge of cancer in rural communities! Open to all CCC program staff and coalition representatives.
- Meet monthly for 90 minutes, February through July
- Discuss basics of rural cancer
- Connect with diverse range of experts in rural cancer control
- Share real-world examples
- Connect to other CCC peers
This community of practice aims to increase confidence in your ability to:
- Use rural data to identify or improve priorities.
- Identify and address barriers to cancer care for people in rural communities.
- Identify appropriate PSE strategies to achieve cancer plan objectives.
- Find and engage appropriate partners.
- Include rural-focused PSE strategies in cancer plan and/or work plan.

While not required, participation in all six sessions is strongly encouraged.
