The new application, United States Cancer Statistics:  Data Visualizations, is a user-friendly product that allows cancer surveillance data to be directed and more easily accessible by public and cancer control planners.

The United States Cancer Statistics (USCS) Data Visualization tool displays a subset of cancer incidence and mortality data from United States Cancer Statistics (USCS) web-based report.  It includes six web pages:  Overview; U.S. Cancer Demographics; Cancer Trends; State Cancer Overview; State Data and Ranking; followed by technical notes and additional resources.

The tool creates data visualizations to describe U.S. Cancer burden, incidence and mortality over time, and state-specific data in comparison to national rates.

Data are displayed as maps and bar charts with interpretive text when users across over each graphic.  Users can customize displays of overall and cancer-specific statistics, view data as a table, and share each page via social media.
