Getting to Next Level Outcomes: The Important Role that Peers Play in Supporting Tobacco-Free Recovery

Tuesday, October 22
2:00 ET

Join the National Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Recovery (CoE-TFR) to explore the role peer support specialists and peer recovery coaches play in addressing commercial tobacco use among clients with behavioral health conditions.  During this 60-minute webinar, you’ll hear directly from staff working in behavioral health and recovery settings and discuss how they’ve approached trying to normalize addressing tobacco use as part of a peer’s role in supporting individuals with behavioral health conditions on their recovery journey.

  • Describe the role of a peer support specialist/peer recovery coach in a behavioral health setting
  • Explore the evidence and importance of integrating peer-driven support services as part of a coordinated system of care to support people on their quit journey
  • Discuss barriers, challenges, and opportunities to leverage peers to support Commercial Tobacco-Free Recovery
