Currently Recruiting American Indian/Alaska Native Students for the RISE Pre-Medical Enrichment Program
The RISE Collaborative is a partnership across three medical schools (Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, University of California- Davis School of Medicine, and Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine) who came together to support the success of a new generation of Indigenous physicians. Each year we hold the Summer RISE Academy, a six-week program designed to help American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) students to become more competitive in applying to medical school. The curriculum covers topics spanning from MCAT exam preparation and a coverage of basic science topics, to cultural engagement and community-building. The Summer Academy is intended for those AIAN individuals who plan to apply to medical school for either the entering year of 2022 or 2023.
