New Contact for National Native Network at CRIHB

Higinio Herrera is the new Health Education Specialist at the California Rural Indian Health Board.

Previously, Higinio worked in a clinic where he was a health coach and a paraprofessional diabetes educator.  Higinio aspires to bring that same passion and experience to help with tobacco intervention in Native communities.

Higinio has a Bachelor of Science in nutritional science with an emphasis in public health and a Bachelor of Arts in Chicana/o studies focused on cultural studies.

Higinio strives to combine his two passions of art and healthcare in his daily work.
