The 7th Annual Repatriation Conference

A Virtual Conference Hosted by the Association on American Indian Affairs

November 3, 10, and 17, 2021

This will be a virtual conference again this year for everyone’s safety and to increase accessibility.  Last year, we were able to accommodate over 700 participants thanks to our virtual platform!  Take a look back at the 6th annual conference here.

Repatriation is the return of stolen and looted Ancestors, their burial belongings and other items of cultural heritage from museums, federal agencies, private collectors and dealers and from collections around the world.  The repatriation of these items to their original peoples restores identity and cultural practices, and supports healing from historic traumas caused by federal policies that sought to eliminate diverse Native American peoples and their cultures.

We hope you will join us and consider sponsoring the conference to provide free registration to tribal and museum practitioners, students, and elders.
