AICAF Survivor Support Group 12/5/2020 12 p.m. CT

The American Indian Cancer Foundation invites survivors and caregivers to join the vital survivor support group.  In this group, Serene Thin Elk will lead the session on “Healing Through Creative Arts.”

In preparation for this session, please register by Monday, November 30, 2020 so AICAF may send you art supplies.  Please note that if you register after Monday, supplies may be delayed.

Bio:  Serene (Ihanktonwan Nation [Yankton Sioux Tribe] and Sicangu Oyate [Rosebud Sioux Tribe]) is co-founder of Generation Red Road, Inc. and is a licensed mental health and addiction counselor.  She is passionate about addressing patterns of intergenerational transmission and finding ways to help individuals, families, and communities heal from the effects of historical traumas.  Serene’s primary role is being a mother to her beautiful children and believes that healing begins within each individual, extending to family, community, and society.
