Learning Outcomes/Objectives:

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
1.  Examine the empirical support for using Motivational Interviewing in the health care setting.

2.  Identify the importance of using the “spirit” of Motivational Interviewing.

3.  Apply the general principles of Motivational Interviewing to assist patients to modify health behavior to achieve best health outcomes.

The IHS Clinical Support Center designates this live activity for 1 hour of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for each hour of participation. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Indian Health Service Clinical Support Center is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This activity is designated 1.0 contact hour for nurses.
