The National Native Network, the American Indian Cancer Foundation, and the Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan have partnered to present opportunities for education on HPV and cervical cancer awareness during Women’s Health Week. On May 13, this partnership is showing “Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic,” and a live Q&A session with Gynecologic Oncologiest, Dr. Amanda Bruegl (Oneida & Stockbridge-Munsee) later in the day. There is no cost to attend any of these events.

Learning Outcomes/Objectives:
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Examine the USPSTF guidelines for cervical cancer screening, age, screening methods, and intervals.
- Describe the current adolescent and adult dosing schedules for the HPV vaccine.
- Identify the physical and emotional burdens associated with cervical cancer and its impact on victims and families.
- Utilize the HPV Roundtable tools and the content of the Someone You Love: HPV Epidemic documentary to identify the burden of disease associated with the HPV virus.
Target Audience: Physicians, nurses, health educators, administrators, and support staff working with American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities.
