CDC, states update number of cases of hospitalized e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury (EVALI)

As of December 10, 2019, CDC reported 2,409 hospitalized EVALI cases across all states and territories, with 52 confirmed deaths in 26 states. The median age of patients was 24 years, while deceased patients averaged 52 years old. Despite declining cases, states continue reporting new hospitalizations weekly.
